Reimerhof was owned by my great gradfather, Heinrich A. Klassen. It was one of the major estates in the Mennonite colony in southern Russia (now Ukraine). The main residence had 60 rooms with indoor plumbing. It had a flower garden, a vegetable garden, orchard, park, pond and cemetery. It was taken over by the Russian government in the early 1920's and the main house was demolished by retreating German troops in 1943. It is now a village in the Ukraine called Zarechnoye.
