Gerhard Classen

Gerhard Classen (1862-1941) and his wife Barbara Johann Neufeld.  Gerhard was the brother of my great grandfather Heinrich A. Klassen. Gerhard insisted on spelling his name with a "C" instead of a "K".  It might be a more German form.

The two brothers, David and Gerhard, emigrated to Canada in the early 1920's and ended up living near Winnipeg, Manitoba. Heinrich A. Klassen died in South Russia in 1923.

Gerhard Classen had at least one son, Nicolai who ended up also living near Winnipeg in the late 1920's.
